A brave Iraqi police sergeant, Salam Al-Eqauli has been pictured capturing a suicide bomber from ISIS.
The suicide bomber is called Hussain Ali, he has disguised himself by cutting his beard hair to not look like a fanatic.
The bomber was captured during a check near Imam Al Kadhim, north of Baghdad. He was trying to get into the middle of the crowds of worshippers and visitors visiting the shrine.
Iraqi security forces search him thoroughly, luckily the bomb did not go off. The counter IED unit of the Iraqi army arrived shortly after.
The suicide vest is crudely wrapped in plastic film but very deadly. Designed to cause maximum death and injury with limited technical ability.
The security forces hold him down after removing the bomb from the terrorist.
The bomb is opened up and examined.
The counter IED team of the Iraqi army disarm the bomb. The bombers have included nails, screws, ball bearings and other shrapnel so that they cause maximum damage to people nearby.
The detonating mechanism is taken apart.
Staff sergeant Salam Al-Eqaili poses after the incident. Not a job for the faint hearted.
